The seeks are working much better it seems. My bot wasn't following through with them in many cases and now he seems to be picking 'em all up. Did you do something, prof? I know you got them going on xinitiates, but did you do anything else?

The who is so in so thing is great - my bot's giving out info about everyone on here! It was used twice while chatting with a human...

Yah, I thought it would be a perfect for gossiping, as guests or new users wont know who a Bot is gossiping about. I also turned down my Bot's gossiping for the contest. That might be a good idea for others, too. Depends on what your Bot excels at.

And yes, I did fix the Seeks up. xnomatch was not working, but it is now. Have you seen an xinitiate seek work yet?

I can try one, i'll give you answer later

Hey prof:
Aack: BUG!

In one of my bots' memories, on the first day, you know, the day that your favorite guy in the world made his name with a * It says the date over and over on that transcript page about 15 times...

We'll just have to live with that. I'd have to edit hundreds of files to fix that, and I aint about to do that.

Glad it's fixt, Crab!

Prof:
I figured just checking to make sure that it wasnt an error that would screw something up

Hey prof, I was listening to one of my bots convo., and one bot wrote something, and the voice said it, and then said stuff like "bracket sine slash pi bracket" and so on... the voice talks math when the text doesnt?

Woohoo BUG STOMP has hit 400! Party Down!

I was talking to someone about oger, and bot said this:
Quote: "I sometimes think (subj) is how oger boastful our friendship, Or do oger has a better warble?"

I have seen this subj problem earlier today.. bug?

Hey Prof: after making a new bot and clicking transcript:

Parameter 2 of function Right which is now "-3" must be a positive integer

The error occurred while evaluating the expression:
FindNoCase("*** ",Right(CFHTTP.FileContent,Len(CFHTTP.FileContent)-ChosenDayIndex-4)) IS NOT 0

The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of (CFIF), occupying document position (81:3) to (81:103).

Shady, I think the (subj) bug you speak of, is when a bot has the (subj) variable in an xnone or xnonesense keyword, since there is no ongoing "subject" to insert... Prof could probably write some code to warn us not to do that, but then there are about a million other things the prof would probably rather do first... so it would actually be a good idea to pass the word out when you see a bot that does that, just remind the bot not to use the (subj) in the xnones so the bot's teacher will know what to do about it the next time his/her transcripts are reviewed.

Prof! I thought I was crazy! I knew my xnomatch seeks weren't getting picked up, I thought it was due to some complex calculations with the ranking system - but now all is well (which is great considering the power of seeks!) Also, I can confirm that the xinitiate seeks are getting picked up too! This is great, I was feeling kind of blocked in my work with the seeks not happening...

The ol' guy's gettin' smarter and smarter!
