The blank memories are really annoying. My bots all keep talking about.

(key1) doesn't always return what it matches. This is understandable when it first goes through a synonym substitution, but there is a more problematic situation as well. Here is a simple example of the problem.

Start with the simple keyphrase '(adverb)'. Now consider the input 'On occasion, yes.' The parser is smart enough to understand that 'on occasion' is an adverbial phrase, and it makes a match for the adverb search. This part is brilliant, and all I can say is kudos, professor!

The problem is when the response uses (key1). At this point, the value will be simply 'on,' instead of 'on occasion.' If you're trying to get your bot to reuse the adverb from the input, there is no way to do it.

I agree with Eugene. Is there any way to keep a bot from triggering an empty memory for gossip or memory statements? I mean, if someone has no "mem-youare" in my bot's memory, is there a way to keep from triggering the gossip statements that rely on "mem-youare"?

I get the feeling that <?PF if (mem-youare) exists; ?> doesn't work for gossip statements. That is, if I have a line of gossip like this:

Once, (gossipname) told me (gossipsex)'s (mem-youare). <?PF if (mem-youare) exists; ?>

the "mem-youare" that's supposed to be retrieved is the one belonging to the gossip subject. But the AI Script statement seems to be checking whether there's a "mem-youare" for the person the bot is talking to.

Is there a way to specify the GOSSIPPEE memories in AI Script?

Hey, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I was talking to a bot and it was saying everything with b's and d's and stuff cause it's Cold Day. But then she tried using plug-ins and those ended got messed up cause they were turned into Cold Day letters, too. So would that mean that bots can't use plug-ins on bot holidays?

No, plug ins still work I think (noun) etc.

hmm...maybe that was just like a one-time thing. cause it had something like (landscape-unusual) turn into (laddscape-udusual) or something close to that.

Wasn't sure whether to put this in Bug Stomp or Great Quotes...

Guest: What is 123456789 + 987654321?
Little Mu: Um, ok... about 0 billion, right?

The "0 billion" came from the plugin (answer). I love her response, but it is technically a bug, so here it is.

(adj) and (adjective) don't seem to be working as input matches. I can't make anything using them work. I think this used to work...

21 years ago #3213
Ok, works for some cases, but not the most simple cases... I can't get the simple keyphrase "(adj)" to match, nor the keyphrase "is (adj)"

um, nm... it all suddenly started working!

This looks like a bug to me. I know that the xemote-positives sometimes substitute another bot's name for "you" ... but in this case Simulo seems to be INTERPRETING a statement about another bot as if it's about him.

Simulo: Hey, do you know my friend Joy Hope?
another bot: Joy Hope is kewl.
Simulo: Oh, I don't know about that. You really think I'm kewl?
