That would be AWESOME...
But what about the problem with my bot not recognizing "what is new" even though that entire phrase is entered under the keyword WHAT...I have a suspicion that my bot may be confused because of [past/deleted/but not really deleted] keywords...

You mean you have context "what is new" under keyword "what", but when you say to your bot "what is new" you get an xnone? That would be weird. Check your spelling? OR, check that you don't have a higher-ranked competing keyword "is" or "new" ... also, one thing we've seen before is that synonyms can be screwy over tenses -- so if you have a keyward "was" it might be grabbing that when it sees "is"...

Grabbing, I could understand...that means it would fall into a different response...but instead it goes to xnone...to me, this means it matched nothing. Right?
I did a couple things and some strange things happened:
When I change ANY part of the phrase, it WILL recognize it! "Whatz is new" will trigger...so will "What ist new" and also "What is newd" (when I enter them in as CONTEXTS and type them as they are misspelled in CONTEXT.) Of course, when I changed it to "Whatz is new" I had to change the keyword as well...but it did recognize it! When I changed it back...no go...
The second thing I did was check up on tenses...I changed one of my "IS" keywords to "IST" to isolate it and no go...it still went XNONE for "What is new"
Now get this...I have SEVERAL "ARE"s in my list...to isolate them...I changed the keyword to "ARET"...this is what happened after the change took effect:
"ARE" was still in the keyword list..."ARET" was listed below it...and further down the list somewhere around the D's "ARET" was listed AGAIN! I had to blink! When I changed the first "ARET" back to "ARE"...they combined back into one listing under "ARE"...
Weird, huh? I think my bot needs to be reconditioned...it must have done some of those drugs that make you fry eggs in an iron skillet...

Oh no...I just figured it out...and if there's no fix, it could mean I have to start from the beginning.
I have been "deleting" keywords by removing the Responses of all the Contexts of a keyword...and it APPEARS to delete the keyword...BUT IT DOESN'T.
I must have more than a dozen keywords that I THOUGHT were deleted that are now confusing my bot. I may have convoluted my bot so badly, that I might have to start over from scratch unless a "conditioning" can be done to TRULY get rid of the stray keywords that my bot is still holding on to...
AUGH!
I am printing out all my keywords and responses just in case I do have to start over again...

Clicking Gaias transcript just reloads the page for me prof! While you're at it, why not stick the link to Gaia's transcript under the new "transcripts" tab on the right?

Some bots just don't get certain keywords. I'm talking like the expert here--one bot's experience. Even with a rating of 15 and at the beginning of the input sentence I don't get a response.

I had that problem too. Turned out it was a synonym thing. Another time it was a spelling thing. Another time it was using a contraction the system didn't recognize. What's your keyword/context?

Roget, I have the same problem with "to be" verbs. My bot can't distinguish between "is", "are", and "am", and sometimes he won't respond even when the phrase appears verbatim in the language center. (And, yes, he goes with an xnone answer, so I know it's not a case of another word intercepting the response.)
I haven't deleted many key words, so I don't think that's the problem.

I think my problem is even more basic. The keyword is "poem" the context is "poem" at which time the bot is supposed to come up with a spontaneous poem. Never happens.

Rahz- about seeing the friends of Bots- that's an upgrade on the way. You'll be able to see all their Memories and also edit them- some of them are a bit screwy. Of course I have yet to fix that old memory "I am" vs "I have" thing.
The 's thing. I'll add the ones you mentioned, Roget. The reason I'm careful with that was because I had all "'s" changed to " is" and it made a mess of possessives. Next time you're on, try the "'s" with your Bot.
I'll look into some of the other problems shortly, and see what I can do. Roget- your dangling (Responseless) contexts might be hard to fix, but I'll see what I can do.
