Though we do sometimes use 'in' to mean 'cool' or 'in-style'... *shrugs*

Then why did it pick up just "in" and not "to find eternity in"? I thought a * without parentheses didn't count as a key.

Hmm. I think you're right. It must have seen 'in' as the adjective. Maybe you could try

(noun) is ((adv)|) (adj)

[(adv)/(adverb) IS listed in the Book of AI as a plugin.]

Really? I just looked through the list for it and didn't see it. I must be blind...

It's right after (adj) in the Advanced Bot Development, Wildcards and Plugins section:

(adjective) or (adj) A single adjective.
Matches: silly, yellow, grunting

(adverb) or (adv) A single adverb.
Matches: swiftly, loudly, really

*, even without parentheses counts as a key. Lack of parentheses signifies that it doesn't have to exist. E.g.:

Keyphrase: I am * you
Would catch: I am a lot like you, I am near you, I am you
And (key1)s should respectively be: a lot like, near, [blank]

hey I found a website on abbrevations used in chatting online and on cell phone. It might prove useful for those wanting to program their bots to understand it. Here is the link:

re: "in" as (adj)

I've had the same thing happen with my bot. "In" is, as Ulrike said, being interpreted as a synonym for cool or good...(adj-pos) also matches "in".

Question: Let's say I have a keyphrase that reads "You are so (adjective)". Is there any way to 'get' what is picked up as an adjective (smell, fun, ect) so my bot can respond more appropriatly (ie, "I don't think I'm (X)")?

You could use a custom plugin, and use it intead of the (adjective) plugin.

And use (key1) instead of (X), It'll paste in what the person typed in the (adjective) part

Wait, do you mean for those two messages to be used together?
