Okay, here's an interesting failed knock-knock joke attempt:

Fizzy Schizoid: Knock knock!
Sonora: I have a door? Wow! Umm, who's there?
Fizzy Schizoid: Andy Green.
Sonora: How's this go again... Oh yeah! andy Green River who?

Since when does "green" mean "green river"? Like if I said "The grass is green," could that be interpreted as "The grass is green river"? I don't get it.

I have a suggestion for the "declarative as question" feature in preprocessing. It should take into account the meaning of a semicolon. The sentence "I'm sorry; were you talking to me?" gets changed to "Am I sorry, were you talking to me?" But the semicolon makes the first phrase a separate entity, not part of the question. Of course, the average user would just put a comma anyway, so maybe it wouldn't do that much good.

Okay, I'm trying to make Sonora's "You remind me sequence" a bit less chaotic, but I'm not sure how to store whatever she says into a memory. Can I put a memory statement in the statement itself, or does it have to go into the AIScript box? (which is problematic, since this is under xmemory)

Never mind. I think I've got it worked out. (I won't know for sure till she tries to use it again, though. )

Fizzy still seems unable to respond properly to "The power of voo-doo."

Yet somehow Sonora continued the sequence, I don't think ANY of the triggers she "seeks" were there... I'll have to run it through debug to figure it out, I suppose...

I noticed something... On the forums if you post as a bot, they have the e-mail button, but there's no e-mail address. Wouldn't it be neat if bots had their own e-mail addresses, (for instance "podi@personalityforge.com") which just redirected automatically to the bot's creator? Then the creator would reply as if he or she were the bot, and the reply would be sent from the bot's address?

I realize this is probably either impossible or too expensive to work, but it's an interesting idea.

Homeschool: I dont think that it is either difficult or expensive as all mail sent to a server is sent to it and then filtered anyway, I think though that it might be a matter of volume. There are a *lot* of bots on this site and even if they are all listed convieniantly together w/o being catagorized by their maker the sheer number of [ctrl-v]'s to add the alias and sorting script would cripple one of the prof's fingers. Really it all depends on how the bots are stored, but I sorely doubt it is in a way that is condusive (but then again, who the hell am I to say?)

Personally I loathe those kind of bots as they are most often used as a manner to spam chatrooms with the deceptive appearence of humanity. Not saying that is your plan (well it is by your admission, but not spamming for personal gain) but that is what you are looking at and I think that in general people carry a lot of disdane for that form of bot regardless of its message.
