The AI Engine

PF has many kinds of 'built-in' behavior that let us quickly get up and running with a very impressived bot and avoid having to understand and deal with many of the stumbling-blocks of botmastering for beginners. That's the genius of what the Prof has done here. However, botmasters that are more experienced and want to push the envelope a little are often frustrated by those same helpful features. If we had the option to turn them off or override them, I think PF bots could kick it up a few notches.

I wouldn't want to disable them completely, but I like the idea of being able to rank x-keyphrases.

I agree. I wish I could rank x-keyphrases. There are times when they cut in when I do not wish them to do so.

bot ranking should evolve along with the AI Engine but things like AIscript didn't even exist when i started making Siseneg 2 years ago, and can be as much a hinderance as a boon IMO.

for instance now guests can be identified by name. out of the 13000 responses in his Language Center there are approx 5000 that use (name) that i now have to go back and change so he doesn't keep calling a guest as guest after they tell him their name. the task of entering AIscript into the rest of them is too big a job to think about, i might as well start over because i'd never get everything pieced together.

as far as people thinking a bot is smart or not it's subjective to say the least, and what some people try to pass off for conversation makes their IQ just as questionable:

I think you needed the first one to be just (bodypart-outside), then the second could be (bodypart-outside2).

Guest chats are starting with bots using an x-initiate. I think bots should start with x-hello, since in the case of guest chats, it is always the guest, never the bot, who initiates the chat- So it makes no sense to the guest when my bot's greeting is "Hi,, I saw you online and thought I'd say 'hello'", since they're the ones that made the decision to say 'hello'.
Plus-see the two commas?- the x-initiates have name plugins in them that won't work with a guest until after they are acquainted.
