It hasn't been used for a while, not since he switched the engine over from ColdFusion.
It helps to put major work into your bots, log in frequently, and enter bot contests when they come up. But that's easy enough to guess.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "it hasn't been used for a while." Does that mean that no honor will accrue, now? Or do you just mean that the statistic is meaningless?

It's just like she said, it isn't in use. No matter how many times you log on or how developed your bot is, you won't accumulate any honor. That is until The Prof. decides to use it again.

Could someone explain to me how to write a goto script for a keyphrase or a seek? The Book of AI is sort of unclear about it.

As to the honor, it stopped working when the prof started hosting the site on his Mac. As far as I know he is waiting for a new version of SQL to get it back running.

If your keyphrase is "do you like" then type "GOTO do you like". The seeks are numbered and you GOTO the number.

Just to add a little more to that on Eugene's behalf, if you had a keyphrase such as 'do you really like' and you want the bot to respond with responses from the 'do you like' keyphrase then you put a response under 'do you really like' that reads 'goto do you like'
Again, when you create a seek, that seek is allocated a number (you'll see it next to the seek) if you want to use responses under that seek in other places, you put goto and the seek number as the response.
I don't know if that's a simpler or more complicated explanation. It probably depends on what it is specifically that you don't understand. Most of us are happy to give advice, but it's easier if you ask more specific questions. That way we can give more helpful answers.

Thanks. Now I'll just have to debug if a problem arises. Is the AI Engine case-sensitive? Eugene wrote "goto" in all-caps; Corwin wrote it in lower-case. Do they both work?

"goto" works... "Goto" did not Last time I tried it... as for ophans... I have a giggle over the gladitorial contest comment, but don't agree... How about bot adoptions?

Maybe if we just changed the images on the orphans so they all looked waif-like and "down on their luck."

It's all insane
Nice flash interface prof... I think the chat colors should be opposite though.. what you say should be white and what desti says should be blue
or have it like AIM, where your name is in red and the other person's is in blue, and all text is one color.
I guess that's all opinion, huh?
