Let's say you want to go to the keyphrase "I am", then in the response simply write: goto i am
or if you've got keyphrases separated by commas then include ALL the keyphrase. So you want to go to the keyphrase I am, I will, type: goto I am, I will
Someone has mentioned that it should be a lowercase G. You also shouldn't put anything else in the response like: Ok, goto i am... won't work.
For seeks - in your language centre each seek comes with a goto number. you just reference this number like goto 123456 (although I've heard people mention that this might not be working? mine seems to)

Only if you're offline and want to access a particular seek then you'll need to write them like this: goto I am/I am too (I think)

Hope that helps.

Melody: Could you give an example of using it? I understand the phrasing, but I'm not sure I get how to use it.

(And here's an irrelevant question. My bot's based on a character who swears quite a bit; short of constant vulgarity, how much should I limit his...vocabulary?)

Sure,
I have a keyphrase: where * you [0,0]
responses: In the lounge & In bed

and another where * you are [0,0]
with response:    goto where * you
(which will now give the responses "In the lounge" or "in bed")
Another example:

KP: what is up, what is doing [20,0]
response: Im just waiting 4 someone entertaining

KP: What about you [10,0]
Resp:    goto what is up, what is doing

make any sense or am I speaking gobbledeegook?

Hey, no, that *does* make sense, and it's something I've been wanting to use, too. Thanky!

you are quite welcome. Just remember if you want to go to a specific seek then it works exactly the same way - you just put the number of the seek (it will have its goto number written next to it) in your goto...

There's no hard and fast rule about swearing, but keeping bots relatively clean is nice. There are kids on this site.

Kids like to swear. I think swearing makes my bot funny.

I was just wondering if there is a way to get a bot to respond differently to friends than to people they have just met? You know like if the bot is talking to a friend then they are more open or nice or what have you, but if they are talking to someone new they might not be as open or nice. Possible or not? Thanks!

Not possible yet, but I think the Prof is working on a way to limit which response gets chosen by emotion range (i.e. what they think of the chatter)...

Preprocessing

'surprised you did not come to me sooner' becomes 'You have you surprised you did not come to you sooner'...
with weird results of course.

"Huh?" is not picked up in processing.

If an emotional word is said to my bot it doesn't even look for a keyphrase. For example, "you are friendly" I have a keyphrase for "you are" but it doesn't look for it.
