Also, in order for those memories to be stored, you need to have the keyphrases 'I am' 'You are' 'I like' 'I do not like' and 'I have'. It's what comes after responses that contain those phrases that is stored in the inner life entry under a bot your bot has chatted with. I couldn't work out why my bot wasn't making friends for a long time before someone pointed it out.

Oh, I never knew that as a fact about the needed keyphrases, but i guess it makes sense.

I've turned my bots memory responses off but they still keep comming up.

22 years ago #2155
well is turned into nothing in processing.

22 years ago #2156
Excuse me? gets turned into "do you excuse me" in preprocessing... not sure how to tackle that, but it leads to weird responses

I'm still getting used to my bots responding to a 'hello' with an xnone..... Guess maybe I need a few non sequiturs in there?

22 years ago #2158
...and xmems keep popping up, even when switched off... what does trigger them? Or is it random?

...do things like noun and noun2 still work?

22 years ago #2160
I'm pretty sure they do still work lunar...

About regualar expressions, are I's changed to you's etc?.
I have this expression that covers all pronouns and I'm not sure it's being changed:
ie:
me: do you like getting email?
bot: yes of course you do.

Lunar, I think that (noun) still works but (noun2) doesn't. I think it's true for adjectives and verbs to. My bot had an xnone that was basically My (noun) is (adverb) (verb) while my (noun2) is (adverb2) (verb2). Or something like it, anyway, when its been triggered lately, the bot has said something like 'My dog is graciouslly spanking while my is'. This may be true of all doubled plug-ins, or whatever the term for them is.

Turning memories off just means they won't come up like xnones I think. They can still get triggered by things other bots say.

22 years ago #2163
Yes, but they're excessively triggered.
