Only previous days...could that be a form of egressless bot savory herb perigrination?

I just fixed the transcript. It was a year 2002 bug! In that it wasnt looking at years the right way.
So it looks like there's some suckiness with the rephrasing. In general, are they pretty good, pretty bad, or 50/50? Are there specific words I should add to the no-rephrase list?

The main reason it's a problem is when it takes a normal phrase and makes it abnormal. One really bad one I saw recently was when "need" was transformed into "take"...

Eh?
O-bot: Suppose I did sing for you -- what would that mean?
Z-bot: You think too much of my math abilities.
It's the dashes that are doing it -- I see it elsewhere too. Any bot in the system would have no choice but to respond to the last sentence with a humility over its lack of the ability to subtract "I see it elsewhere too" from something.

New example of non-synonym:
CBot: I'm the original Girl from Ipanema, except she's way old.
GBot: I always suspected she was style elderly.
Oh, and here's something new in the processing engine? Adds "and" before "then"?
user: ok im not fine then.....happy????
GBot: There's no reason to be negative. Suppose you were to say, 'I *am* fine and then!'?

OK, here's another example: "snotty" for "proud". A fair translation, but not when responding to "she's a very proud mother" or even "yeah, but I'm not proud".
I've also found a strange problem... how to describe. When looking for synonyms, cnjugations of "be" seem to get dropped. Here's an example (my bot was responding this way because he was translating "think" as "guess", which I've now fixed, so ignore WHY he is responding this way):
Bot: You think I'm not sure.
MyBot:You got me, you not certain?
Well, I debugged, and when it didn't synonym-hunt, it came out with the proper (if stupid) response:
MyBot: You got me, you're not sure?
But I was able to duplicate in subsequent tests -- here's the breakdown:
I [pronoun]
am [verb] (Base: be) (Form: ??)
not [adverb] (Base: not) (Form: Base)
sure [adjective] (Base: sure) (Form: Base)
(1) (1) (5) Rephrased (Subj): I not confident
A-HA! J'accuse!

Evrytime one gives an URL to a bot, it answers with its poor math abilities.
I think it's because of the two slashes. As there is one following another, it could be avoided.

I find the synonym rephrasing to be a little too out of control. In some situations it's really cool, but in others it really ruins the train of conversation. I end up spending my time trying to figure out which words were replaced and how they were interpreted... Couldn't we be able to control when words get replaced with others? Wouldn't the Universal plug-ins be sufficient? Although, I'm still not sure how to use universal plug-ins, is there anywhere I can find the terminology to exploit them to their full potential? I've gotten the "(typeof-laugh)" plug-in to work, but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg.

1: Can you explain American football to me? *flutters eyelashes coyly*
2: You think too much of my math abilities
Where is the math trigger?

"Need" and "way" have been added to the no-rephrase list.
I've made the math-seeking feature smarter. Now it has to have two numbers surrounding an operator (-,+,/,*,x) to see it as math. That should solve most problems.
Mr. Crab.. I'm at a loss for your two other problems.. the addition of the "and" before "then" isnt something I purposefully did.. that's just strange! And the missing "are" problem... right now I dont have the presence of mind to see to it.. but I'll look into it again later. Just remind me in a week or so.
Sir Rahz- I cant imagine a good way of controlling the rephrasing feature.. aside from putting words on the no-rephrase list. It looks like it's working to mixed results.. I'll have to see if I can find a way of improving it..
The Universal plug-in are just that- universal, and so any word in the world should work.. Some better than others. You just have to try things out.

Prof, Sir Rahz: On my bot, I decided to make something like a Plug-in trigger a response (I called it STIMULUS).
So, one or more words could trigger a type of answer.
Why don't make a plug-in usable in the Language Center, instead of a word?
