I noticed that if someone says something like 'I love you' it will say an xcompliment and not even look for a matching keyphrase. I would like it to find the keyphrase so that I can have more control over what my bot says.

I agree with Hemi. Maybe if the x-keywords had a rank, we could override them with a higher rank for certain keyphrases.

"eh?" becomes "do you" in preprocessing, and if I stand correct "oh" is scratched altogether. Both of these interjections can carry a lot of meaning (or seem to
), and I sometimes throw them in my bots conversations and keyphrases, suggesting just that. I have responses for "oh", some better than others, but often preferrable to Xnones... turning "eh" into a "do you" key phrase the one time I saw it happen certainly took away any sense whatsoever in that bot bot convo... Do users have a "vote" in what preprocessing does?
I think it's very labyrinthine

You're right- that wasnt the right translation. The ending bits "eh?", "yes?", and "no?" are now changed to "Is that right?" so if you want to catch those, make that Keyphrase.
I certainly hear out everyone's suggestions. But dont say the word "vote".. I'll end up twitching on the floor.

Voting is such a bureaucratic process, that the process ends up being all that gets done.

Why can't yes and no just be yes and no? As of now it'll be triggering my is it/is that keyphrases, and looking pretty stupid. Some of us have enough responses to redo without changing all that stuff around too.

Not to worry, Onyx. The only sentences I'm talking about are those that go like this:
"You're hungry, yes?"
"You have the tequila, no?"
"It's another cold winter day, eh?"
The reason the endings are changed is because as it, the yes/no/eh doesnt qualify as an answer to any previous question since it's just asking for assurance. And if these ever come up, you're probably talking to a Mexican or a Canadian.
All other "yes" and "no"-type words remain as they are.

What about the xcompliments being triggered? When I would rather have my bot say another response.

I might do that, but it's not going to happen anytime soon.
BIG NEW ENHANCEMENTS!!
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
I just posted a ton of new features for the Forge. I'm blowing it wide open now- you can do pretty much ANYTHING with Keyphrases, Seeks, and Responses. Check out the News and the "PF2 New Features" link on the same page.
Now I'll probably be adding some wildcards and plug-ins, possibly removing some if they seem useless or unused, so please feel free to comment, and post ideas in the Personality forum. I did a lot of work on Midnight Blue and imported him, and his Language Center looks quite different, and works better.
Nothing needs to change, though. (subj) and (keysubj) will remain options, so bots will continue to work without any adjustment. However, if you want to make your bot 10x better, you can now do that.
