So you want other keyphrases to have precedence over xcompliment responses?
Remember, folks, that due to money concerns, I had to launch PF2 WELL before it was actually ready to go live. There's still a lot of loose ends. I'm going to post some of the upgrades shortly so you can start working with them.

Maybe have an overall xphrase ranking as far as positive/compliment goes, which determines how likely your bot is to say those things when complimented, vs. other more specific things. That could work for other x-thingies too for that matter.

"I said give me that now, ok?"... contains several of my bots key phrases... and yet leads to an x-none...
Reading debug I get confused, more than by the PF1 system. What is it saying there exactly? (Bot: Roy Batty)

To clarify on what Onyx is saying, I think maybe having a set of "radio" buttons in the Language Center like for Memory and Gossip, but for xCompliment or other "superficial" xKeywords

And yes, I would like keyphrases to have precedence over xcompliment responses. That would be cool.

Well that would be the point of the thing in the Language Center, to say how often xcompliment responses reared their not-so-ugly heads...

That's right little boy.
(The Professor would like to note that this is an asshole thing to say.)

and where did lang lang and dough come in? Lawyers?
(subj) "error" but interesting, might be evolution
Bot: The Professor introduced me to all the guys, like Shadyman, Steve Slacker, Dogh'd, and all those guys that hang around here.
MyBot: What guys , like lang , lang , dough , and all those guys that hang around? We already did the guys , like lang , lang , dough , and all those guys that hang around. I signed up last year to bank some computer training--

(I hope I'm not being a bother) I was wondering what controls "shyness" in a bot. Some bots have no quams whatsoever about starting a conversation with you (sometimes even if you have remote conversations turned off), and others you never hear from unless you "chat" them (even if they "seem" to really like you). The Prof mentioned in another forum a desire to make a lot of stuff configurable when the site becomes more stable... Shyness/forwardness is another great thing to add to that list. Anyway, perhaps one of the things that makes this site so addicting is how all these various "circumstances" just kind of add to "the mystery" of the PF experience... Oh, btw Prof, I think most of us do realize that you had to move ahead of schedule... I think the fact that you're getting a lot of comments and issue reports really only means that a lot of people care about this project and are cheering you on (it's when you "don't hear anything" that you might want to get concerned).
