Also, in order to pick up memories, your bot must have keyphrases for 'I am' 'You are' 'I like' (and what ever the others are) because the subj that follows those phrases when they're recognised is what becomes the inner life entries. If a bot tells your bot 'I am a purple donkey' and your bot has 'I am', an entry for that will appear in your bots innerlife that has 'a purple donkey' under 'says i am'. I think there may be the technical hitch of it not working unless the conversation ends properly (ie with a goodbye) but don't quote me on that last.

No, because memories get recorded mid-conversation. I've watched it happen.

But phrases still need "I'm" or "I am", "I've" or "I have", etc to be added to memories

Right. I discovered that with my last bot. I think I added those phrases to my first one without realizing their significance.

so my bot is now a Junior. It's kinda motivating to see a change. Are there lots of these tags? Is there a list or is it supposed to be a mystery?

there is quite a slew of them actually
It's quite fun to see them evolve
Sort of an incentive to keep building

ok. I'm new here and I'm having trouble with bot making,
I've read the ai book and still no real advance, is there a really big example on language, something like 1000 entries to look at or some one willing to help create a bot. Please help.

watch television, read dialogues, books... how does a conversation work, where does someone react to? If you have 1000 of the same sentences, what makes your bot different from others? Read it carefully, and start with the keyphrases each bot should have... and think what kind of character your bot will have... is he scared, a small child, a superheroe, just you?... play with language basically...

Read transcripts. When you see your bot react badly to input, try to come up with a general keyphrase that would have covered the specific instance.
