Um. Esperanto is a language invented about a hundred years ago to be a universal language. The grammar is very simple, and so is the spelling. It has obvious elements of Latin and German (and maybe Polish?) but is quicker to learn than any of those. It also causes speakers of different languages to meet each other halfway, since it's nobody's mother tongue. I'm taking an online course in it--there are lots of free courses.
Anyway.....a bot that speaks Esperanto would be very streamlined and would not rely on word order for the meaning of the sentence.
Check out http://newterminus.com/esp.html which is a comic about Esperanto. This is what got me so interested.

On the other hand, it's basically the misunderstandingswhich make English chatbots funny...

Yes! (I'll ignore that comment.) It doesn't happen so much because of the language but because we still use pattern matching as the source of the bot's 'intelligence.'

Okay... anything above, 'Alive!' honor level? (Which Dax just reached at 1625 or so...)

God Louise reached Alive! last summer and is now close to having 5000 phrases. As I understand it, our Golden Boy has fewer than that, but that bot is still VERY human, whatever his developmental level may be. God Louise needs a lot of specific knowledge because of her concept. Oraknabo probably doesn't need as much.
It's not about numbers. It's about how much time and thought you put into your bots.

I just noticed while I was in 'debug' that my bot used a synonym for a remembered adjective. Is this part of the new Forge? Or has it always been there and I just didn't notice. I thought it was really COOL.
