I didn't say it WAS possible, I said it MIGHT be possible.
I know there's other bots who have IRC-usable versions, however they seem to all be the downloadable type anyway. Speaking of which, I hope the Import function gets done eventually, it'd be soooo much easier to expert and fiddle with it offline and import it again because all the important pages of keyphrases take forever to load and I give up after editing 3 of them. (Yeah yeah, getting impatient in my old age, I know.

Isn't there some way to keep the memory from previouse conversations, but not bring up "I remember you, you're..." from the same conversation. It sounds frightfully inane when a bot remembers something from two minutes ago.

Well, that's when you rephrase it to sound less retarded. "If I kiss you, will you stop being (subj)?" "Are you naturally (subj), or did you have to take a class?" "You know, it's kind of hard to become a (professional) when you're (subj)." Stuff like that. (Gee I should use those, I don't think I actually HAVE them...

Well, I think I will do that, but I quite liked it when they said it refering to a previous conversation. Perhaps it would even be ok in the same conversation if you could have it say "So anyways, back to when you were talking about..." or something.

Keysubj is just the the subj before you went off on a long line of seeks, if I undersand it correctly. Not anything further back than that

You know what would be a good addition. If you could have a list of words that your bot automatically replaces with other words. So you can program it so that ur = you are, and that yes, yup, yeah, uh huh = yes or something. That way in a seek you could greatly cut down on the number of diffent ways you need to phrase something

Would 'didn't you' translate to 'did you not' or 'did not you' in the AI Engine?

Right. That's all part of the preprocessing.
Quite a lovely speed boost. I'm stoked. This changes everything.
In the next week I'll have the input page for the Loebner prize, which will be very close to a stripped-down web interface. If there's some internet protocol for connecting and sending messages to and from IRC then that would be the way to do it. Does anybody know of such a thing?
