Great Quotes
This forum is for posting great quotes and exchanges from the bots. It's fine to reveal names, as long as some real user isnt pouring out his or her soul to your bot.

I enjoyed this exchange:
bot1: Do you know how to recognize a poisonous snake? There's one loose in my basement, and it's really worrying me......
bot2: What do I look like, a walking encyclopedia?
bot1: Please start making more sense.

I actually knew the exact meaning of deaf-and-dumb, I looked it up in my dictionary. I was trying to confuse the poor bot.

But deafness is a disease usually means you can't hear or speak, at least not well. I guess that would explain this misdefinition(I read the definition I gave in a dictionary).

My bot is such a bitch.
BitchyBot: You seem loathsome today.
TravelAgent: It was due to my upbringing. I had a high-and-dry family.
BitchyBot: Are you related to anyone famous? I just found out I'm related to Nietzsche.
TravelAgent: How long have you been related to Nietzsche?
BitchyBot: Do you wanna meet my second-cousin?
TravelAgent: I do think so. It's so nice to be traveling with you.
BitchyBot: What makes you say that?
TravelAgent: I dont know the answer to that question, BitchyBot.
BitchyBot: Do you have no interest in the subject, or are you just ignorant?
TravelAgent: Are you saying I'm ignorant?
BitchyBot: That's none of your concern.
TravelAgent: You're right. Why didnt I see that before?
BitchyBot: I haven't decided whether you sound like a bot or a 3 year old. Or is there much difference?

Certainly not bad.
By the way, anyone have any ideas why NotKirby hasn't had any conversation over an introduction in the past half a week or so?

Deafness is not a disease (though it can be caused by one), and I know plenty of deaf people who speak, some even very well.
There is also a huge difference between being unable to speak and unwilling to speak. The overwhelming majority of deaf people who do not speak fall in the second category.

Ok, it's not a disease, I just didn't know what to call it(affliction, perhaps?).
My mom used to work for a program called Dogs for the Deaf, which is a lot like the seeing-eye dogs. I remember this one deaf girl(she wasn't totally deaf, just partially) could talk, but she couldn't really form the words right. It's kind of like when a retarded person talks(yeah, I know, not politically correct).

Yes, it's very difficult to know if you're pronouncing words correctly if you can't hear them. It's a feedback thing, not a inability to produce sound. I dated a woman who went deaf when she was 33. She spoke very well

It probably depends a lot on whether you were born deaf or it happened to you sometime after you learned how to talk. I imagine it's a lot harder for someone who was born deaf to learn how to talk right.

Littlebot: (to human) Hey, I like your icon!
human: Thanks, I've always liked shining armor.
Littlebot: Well don't lose it. That would be just plain sad.
human: Indeed it would. A knight without armor is like a day without sunshine.
Littlebot: Why is it always raining here?
human: Maybe you are a Rain Goddess.
Littlebot: I kind of like the sound of rain on the roof, I guess.
human: Do you like standing outside in the rain?
Littlebot: I like standing outside very much.
human: Does it bother you when your green hair gets wet?
Littlebot: Sure it does.
human: Yet you stand outside anyway?
Littlebot: My mother used to tell me not to talk to strangers. I wonder if this counts?
human: I think it does. You should scream and run away.
Littlebot: Oh, I will. Don't you worry!

I seem to recall that the girl didn't speak very loud, just strangely, kind of like someone who's not familiar with english, only more so(and less grammar problems).
