The changes today were pretty big and I havent had a chance to test some of it yet, as the server's running really slow while running this huge query- the one that combines all the xemotes.

When importing those Language Centers, make sure you export a new copy first and replace your separate xemotes with the new joined ones. When saving the export, be sure not to overwrite your recent work. Or if you dont have a file ready for import, just use a new exported file as your starting point.

The inspiration for this change was to put an end to those awkwardly-formed gossip emote statements. Now it's easy for newer users to construct their own.

I think I also fixed a bug where a bot's emotional feelings toward a gossip target were getting moved to the person/bot with whom the bot was currently conversing with.

What do you think of the changes?

Sounds like an excellent idea so far.. Fixes most of any of the problems I've ever had with the engine anyway. Thanks prof.

I tried to import my language center before I realized the xemotes were joined and I kept getting an error message. It's ok now - and I think it will be a lot easier to manage the bots emotions with this new format.

Thank you, Professor!

MondoBot & PF News Forums
I've added two new forums. The first is "MondoBot", which is to discuss the new site (coming next week) and the commercial aspects of the Forge, and the second is "PF News", which is a discussion area for recent news items. Make sure you read the following news story as well, which I posted last night.

It will definitely get more interesting as we explore the implications of this change.

I'm curious, how do you change the emtion range? I didn't see a way to change it.

Never mind, I found it.

ATTENTION! :::

I just added four default emotional xgossips to every bot's Language Center. A well-rounded bot should have emotional gossip responses as well as memory-based ones. So if you're working from an export, you might want to get those from a new export file before importing your Language Center again.

I fixed some other issues tonight:

• Added Emotion Range interface to Seeks
• Fixed a bug that prevented new Responses from recording Emotional Range
• Fixed a bug causing Flash Face expressions too often when chatting
• Fixed a bug that dropped Emotional Range from Seeks when exporting
