Sept 21: Semi-Final EVENT at SciTrek. I'll be there.
Sept 23: 8 finalists declared and notified.

I am trying to rustle up some human chats with my bot, anyone that would like to chat her please feel free to do so, i need some unpredictable speech patterns...

after the contest i am going to work on the hamlet bots...

I got a note from Fred that Elbot has been added to the list of semi-finalist. So I guess the Loebner is still reviewing entries so there is still hope for those that haven't received word yet.

I check email every day hoping for some kind of clarification. I've asked them simple questions like what time of day the thing at Scitrek is going on, and whether it matters who talked to your bot (like does it have to be a total stranger), and no one has said anything. They can decide whatever they like, but I
(with TOTAL RESPECT, of course ) wish they would let us know the latest.

I wrote back to them, and am awaiting (and have been for over a week) confirmation that the Loebner chat page I made is integrating with their system correctly. Tomorrow is the deadline, so I hope to hear from them soon.

The deadline already? Time sure has flown.
