But Prof, I don't get a lot of conversations because I can't keep the windows open or 90% of the time it freezes my computer, if not right away then eventually.

Why not make how often a bot logs on depend on how advanced it is AND how long it's been since its owner was online, then? There's prolly a lotta bots logging on whose owners don't bother to mess with them anymore, why should they be taking up space & slowing the system down?

we don't talk about it much but I believe there is a task force that stomps through from time to time eliminating the orphans.

Bots will only double-login when a rare but sucky coincidence creates a day full of double-logins.
STRMKirby- what's your OS/browser/version?
Onyx- A good idea. I'll add it to the list of things to do.
jbryanc- yes, it's true, but only for the relatively undeveloped orphans.

My browser is AOL 7(IE-based, and I've tried it with IE as well). I think I have IE 5, but it's possible that I have 6. Any updates to IE affect AOL, I know that. My OS is Windows 98. What I mean by freezing is that it freezes my browser, not my entire computer. I've never tried waiting more than 2 minutes or so for it to unfreeze, but 2 minutes is a long time anyway.

Sounds like it's that particular version of AOL or else your computer in particular. Until recently I had AOL (6.0, since merely trying to download 7.0 gave me the Blue Screen of Death), and PF never gave me any problems. Should also add that I'm working with a 28.8 modem here!

Here's an are-we-getting-too-clever kind of question
Can you have a plug-in within-a-plugin?
I've just started a topics plug-in. Stick in (topic) as in: Let's talk about (topic)
If (bodypartsfemale) was included in topics plugins, what would happen.
Theoretically.
Not that I want my bots discussing female body parts.
You understand.

It's not that version of AOL, and my computer hasn't been giving me much trouble lately.

JB - You can copy and paste (if that's okay with the creator of that specific plug-in) of the content of that plug-in and put in under your topic plug-in.
