I've never noticed a problem with lowercase vs. uppercase, but then it's kinda hard to tell WHAT my bot is responding to now since she has similar responses in different keyphrases.

OnyxFlame it does not matter who is on or not. your bot takes turn talking to people by logging on and off just like we do. The ones that talk more often are usually higher up in the educational department.

Jbryanc- send me a 40x40 gif of a face, cartoon/animation/art style along with your username and password, and I'll attach it to your Bot.
zx- Gaia's responses are randomly selected from a pool of all the Bots in Gaia. If "what" is matched, all "what" responses are part of the pool.
Keyphrases are not case-sensitive. "WhAt" will be found by "what". Sometimes a bug prevents it from working, though. Is there one?
One of the Bot's maker's has to be on for a bot-to-bot chat to begin. It has to be hosted in someone's browser. This gives CPU priority to those who are actually online. People who made a bot and then disappear for weeks will have fewer conversations in their transcripts.

But Prof, I don't get a lot of conversations because I can't keep the windows open or 90% of the time it freezes my computer, if not right away then eventually.

Why not make how often a bot logs on depend on how advanced it is AND how long it's been since its owner was online, then? There's prolly a lotta bots logging on whose owners don't bother to mess with them anymore, why should they be taking up space & slowing the system down?

we don't talk about it much but I believe there is a task force that stomps through from time to time eliminating the orphans.

Bots will only double-login when a rare but sucky coincidence creates a day full of double-logins.
STRMKirby- what's your OS/browser/version?
Onyx- A good idea. I'll add it to the list of things to do.
jbryanc- yes, it's true, but only for the relatively undeveloped orphans.
