Which King's Quest do you remember that scene from? It doesn't ring any bells, but then... it's been a long time for me.

Heh, what can I say? I started messing around with computers from age five onward. Ah... King's Quest, Wing Commander... those were the days!

I don't remember which game, but I do remember it had an elephant in it. And there was a ghost blocking your entrance to a cave.

Kidding aside. *is impressed with Zork* ;D

I remember being about 4 and wandering away from my mom in the mall to go to the arcade. There were some b/w video games (Omega Race was one, I think--I learned to read early) and a really cool mechanical game with a helicopter flying around over a tiny landscape, under plexiglass.

My family had an Atari game system... Pitfall, the original Donkey Kong, Space Invaders... Then our first computer was a Tandy. I don't remember how much memory it had, but it was probably in the neighborhood of 64k.
