I thought it was back in 2000 according to the aztecs. Maybe it came to an end and we just don't know it.

Suit yourself. It'd be better if you didn't sing though. I don't hold with singing.

I heard it was 2012 according to some other latin american tribe. Here's something interesting though - Judaism believes that the world was created into a 3 section period of 6000 years. at the end of these 6000 years, the world as we know it will come to an end - all the dead will come to life, the third Jewish great temple will come to existance on the temple mount, a mossiah will show up riding on a donkey and will ride right through the sealed wall of Jerusalem, and bring everlasting peace and harmony to planet Earth. that means, no wars, no conflicts of any sort - the Ideal world. anyway, the Jewish year now is 5765, that's 235 years until that time. Now I once heard from a Rabbi that there were somewhere around 200 years that were not recorded on the calendar, bringing the actual date to be somewhere around 5965, meaning the end of the world as we know it could be in 35 years or less......
I don't believe in this stuff anyway, just adding some input on the topic of the end of the world

oh yeah, and before this happens, there is supposed to be a great was in the middle east, against two great world powers - "Gog" and "Magog" as the texts call it. it is described as being a war with blood, smoke, fire, destruction, and a lot of people killed. Then a mountain will split open and the Jews will escape from it into freedom or something of the sort, anyway - as we were saying...

Dough'd- I think he meant to say:
'jacked on coke' :o
JK JK
Actually I have also heard similar- the turning of the wheel of Dharma, end of the aztec calendar, etc. are coinciding w/i the next dozen or so years.
The aztec calendar is nothing to dismiss- it runs in reverse and predicted in great detail the coming of the spainish and the destruction of the aztec empire as a whole. As far as I know it is the only time-system in the world that is a countdown instead of a count-up.

I don't know where the idea of the Jews escaping into the mountain is coming from.
