Here I'll be posting information on various Bot contests that challenge and test a Bot's AI and realism. Feel free to post comments and updates on contests, as well as announcements for new contests.

I just filled out my Bot Maker Profile for the contest. I constructed a little Personality Forge logo graphic (the winged figure in the circle at the top of your screen). You can request that to go on the right side where your Bot picture is (just ask for the "Personality Forge Logo"), or you can ask them to use your Bot's actual picture.

Ah jeez. My bot had a response for Where are you but apparently not a high wnough rating to get to it.
I thought it started on April 1st, too, so some things werent ready in time. In fact, the conversation might happen anytime between NOW and March 31st, so improve your bots soon, while you still can.
Apparently, the voting and judging will take place on or around April 1st. I'm cleaning up the last few bugs I can find right now.

A Few Specifics

WordNet has no entries for history or media, and so for the "favorite star wars character" it recognized only "star" and answered with "Alpha Centari" or something like that.
The definition function was also a bit off- on the "What is the capital of france" question, it may have defined the "what is" instead of "capital". It would still have been wrong, but at least it would have been funny.

It was someone from Agentland, who is sponsoring the contest.
I just turned off Gossip for the Direct Chat page, so that people who dont know any of the people being gossiped about (the Contest Conversant, for example) wont get confused with mentions of people/bots they dont know.
Open Question:
Should I ask the Contest Conversant to create an account and log in to chat? Advantage- emotional interactions, memories, and gossip. Disadvantage- gossip, if he asks "Who is so-and-so" the answer will probably be bad unless I create an xwhois keyword.. which I might do.
