Well he could make alternate rooms that we couldn't get into, then shove a couple of bots in em so no one else can get in, and sooner or later they'd eventually talk. Prolly easier to actually force em to talk to each other though. Or we could just do like you do to talk to jabberwacky or somesuch, and since there'd be logs it'd be impossible for the owner to lie about what their bot said. *shrug*

Hey, not a bad idea, and it wouldnt be difficult to do, either. I could even set the chat limit to, say, 50 lines so that length isnt a factor. It could be an annual or semiannual event.

I'll wait till Chatterbox is over before adding anything new, though.

This is interesting...

Bot1: You are the nicest person I know and I care for you alot.
Bot2: No, *you're* the person you know.

Yet in a later conversation, Bot2 remembered that Bot1 thought he was "the nicest person you know".

Hmmm.. I take it Gaia would be disqualified.

What's going on here?...

bot1: So, do you like to chat?
mybot: I'm not too fond of to Old World chat.

I have no idea where "Old World" came from. It got plunked into (subj) along with "to chat."

Oh my! Steve did better than Gaia in the chatterbox challenge! Hmm... Coincidence? I think not

Ermmm...Gaia's like even more insane than my bot.

I don't know whether these should be under Bug Stomp or what... I just don't really understand them so I'm going to keep reporting them until the Prof tells me to shut my yap.

My bot formerly responded to the question "Can I have a picture of you?" with "Why would you want a picture of me?" but now responds "Why would you want a picture of?"

Seems like there's something funky in the works that didn't used to be there....

Yeah, I've noticed "me" and "I" dropping off lately as well in (subj).

I think word substitution should only occur when the engine is positive of what part of speech it is working on. Possibly limiting the substitutions to only nouns and adjectives. Here's an example of a very bad substitution!...

bot: Do you know anyone who can say that they know?
otherbot: I'm not the one to ask about anyone who tin say.

Notice she thinks "can" is the same as "tin" here... pretty ugly. Oh well, I guess she could have said "aluminium," lol.

I turned off the Rephraser yesterday for the finals. In v.2 it will work a lot better.

Stripping off I and me, eh? I'll take a look into that.

Progress Update: I'm still working on the new core of AI Engine v.2 and it's coming along pretty well. Today I got it to exactly nail understanding of the grammar of a new phrase using a new technique. And the speed is still pretty fast. 1-2 seconds for this part.
