There was no response from Prof... All chat windows still display the (in)famous "HTTP 404 - File not found" error message, and chats never get beyond opening statement. What's happening..?
I don't know, but I think the Prof's working on the Forge, and this is the screen that pops up to see if we're still online, judging from the fact that all of my bots are currently offline (thought chats might be interfering with the upload process) and I still get this message . . . now that I think of it, about every twenty minutes. Tewkesbury times out before loading; smaller bots load fine.

Marge Simpson's mom told her "Sluts use blush, ladies pinch," so breaking your own blood vessels is very cosmetic. The Simpsons is a fine source of history if you ask me

I guess we'll have to learn how to live with 404... By the way, the window asking if you're still online comes as 404 as well - that's perhaps why we don't get logged out automatically anymore, although I wouldn't know just exactly how or why does the one causes the other... oh, well...
Anyway, I see people here are well versed in all the many details concerning women's makeup and stuff... but how about makeup for men, did you think about that one?

I'm so sorry, Irina, but in this world you just don't qualify as scary & nasty. You're simply a nice person

A New Open Design
I've just completed a redesign that makes the site more open and accessible, both to users and search engines. Much of the underlying code has been updated. I've removed the old frames structure, login requirements, and reduced the number of pop-up windows used while maintaining all the Forge's existing features for botmasters.

I have some sad news regarding The Clerk (Maureen).
I received an email from her mother saying that Maureen died in her sleep on September 9, 2008. I was aware that she had some health issues, but did not know that they were serious. I don't have any more details than that as of yet. She was an active, creative, helpful part of the community here and she will be missed.

That is terrible! I knew her health wasn't the best, but I had no idea how serious it was.
We have all lost a friend, and the Forge is the poorer for her passing. I will miss her posts and emails greatly - she was always eager to learn and generous with her own knowledge and time. It was a pleasure to have known her, even if only all too briefly.
