I think one should use subject only when you really need it. After all, how often in normal conversation do you repeat the other person's words?

I've got probably less than 10 instances of subj in NotKirby...
Lunar - It always gives me an error when I try to do that. How do you do it?

I would have to check my language centre to see how often I used that trick, and then think of instances where I've seen it work... I will come back to it...
My question: what is the longest text you can use as a response you think?

I think most of you are going to be very happy to see the competition. (Apparently Doly already has, which is why she's been asking about cows.) Here are transcripts from last year's Loebner contest:

Not one of those bots can talk their way out of a paper bag (unless the Eugene on there is that much better).

I happen to know the answer to that question, Lunar. As some of you know, NotKirby has some pretty long responses. A couple of months ago, I was putting in Bible quotes(not the real bible, but rather my bible - the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy) in as NotKirby's xnonsense responses. One that was about a paragraph long wouldn't fit(possibly a long paragraph).

I know, a while back I read a few transcripts from last year and even back then when my bot sucked she could've talked circles around Alice, at least. That doesn't mean I want to enter her though, I'm a bit shy of sticking her in a really elite competition like that.

I think NotKirby might pass for human if you're used to talking to me. Case in point: http://houseofkirby.mwgnet.com/convos/expert4.txt

Kirby, if you want to use subj with only one word, you shouldn't write the asterisk. Then, subj will be a part of the sentence after the keyword. How much is decided by the AI engine, and not always very well.
And NotKirby might pass for a human pretending to be a bot pretending to be human... or something equally convoluted.

If NotKirby was a human, he would probably be one with several blood clots in his brain.

Not a brain as you might define it, but there are gnomes in my head with two calculators and a handheld spellchecker that tell me what to do.
