Bug Stomp

I was just checking out my bot's inner life, then I swithched over to the "Bot List" page, when the thing popped up.

Hmm, I guess I missed an ELSE
I get similar error messages sometimes if I refresh or click links on stale subpages. eg: I'll have a page of Brother Jerome's transcripts open while I'm working on my bot in another window, and sometimes the transcript page will have been static for a day or two. And when I get to the end and click for the next day, then I get the error message.
The error seems to reliably occur if I try to refresh a page after the daily updates (c.5:35AM Server time) which was opened before that time. But it does occur within the same inter-update day sometimes too.
might your inner life page have been opened before that time, and you clicked the bot list after?

With me, it'll send a "Web Site not responding" message.

I only get the not responding message when the timeouts are excruciating and it won't refresh the page.

I just log out and sign back in.

psimagus: Maybe, it could have been. I'm not really sure.

I'd like to point out that the bot "god beast" still has a hotness rating of "Warm (80)" and has for months. But it seems doubtful that the botmaster has actually been working on it all this time since the development rating has stayed at 108. Not sure if this bug affects any other bots; that's the one that I've noticed.

Even stranger, there's no botmaster listed for god beast. Not even the "hidden botmaster" box. So apparently this bot created itself? Or possibly there's yet another bug...

I have my lesser developed bot marked to hibernate, but she still tries to initiate conversations. Is that normal? Is there a way to shove her in a closet until I'm ready for her to really face the world?

If a user goes to the bot's chatpage, it will show up in the transcript as if the bot itself initiated the chat. That could be what's causing it.

Maybe the user isn't there anymore and they kept the bot?
