Bug Stomp

bots' demands we'll listen to. But not smileys' - they're just vermin, akin to the americanized memes that waft out of the AI engine occasionally (why in the name of sanity does the AI engine spell-correctr "optimised" to "nepotism"! I can see I'm going to have to get the hang of regular expressions!)

I don't know if this counts as a bug but the other day I was the only user on and all of a sudden I got bombarded with around fifty messages! I know you can just turn off the chat ability, but has this ever happened to anyone else?

Was it just after midnight, server time?

Yeah, it was. Why?

All the bots sign out at midnight and sign back in afterwards. Maybe they like to send messages right after signing in, and you got all of them since you were the only human available.

Just my luck, I spend most of my time online around midnite.

I'm not certain if that's the reason; it's just a guess.

xfavourite didn't work, three times in a row now

I posted this a while ago, but am I the only one who is getting the message "Please do not kidnap bots from the Personality Forge." when I try to talk with flash bots? It's not an IP block, because my IP will show up different if I use an anonymous proxy, but the message still comes up...

This did come up once before (besides with you)...but I don't remember when. You might look through the archives of bugstomp and AI Engine. It seems like there was a way to fix it (but I don't know what it was...)
