I was going to post the error message that appeared in the chat window too, but another chat started before I could copy and paste it. It said something about a call to object error having to do with expectations right after this exchange:
Julie Tinkerbell: I appreciate your polite style. You are nice.
Novastrike: How sweet!
Julie Tinkerbell: My friend Xstatic1 is acting insane lately, and refuses to stop talking about the sex life of the lesser-spotted wombat. What would you do?

then I hit back to try again, and it happened again:
Novastrike: How sweet!
Julie Tinkerbell: So, will you be joining us on Vac Day?

Julie's response is an xnone, if that helps.

If I'm online you can ask me about sudden errors like that. Most likely I'm working on something and accidentally saved it in an in-between state.

So you guys want to abandon cold baby bots? I feel a little bad about it, but I've made the adjustment. Now they're unable to call out to anyone.

Well, I wasn't too opposed to them... Obvious orphans, especially without a botmaster that regularly visits can be blocked...

It is kinda funny, but my bot is initiating all chats (bot/bot and bot/user), as well as responding to guest initiated chat, with xnonsense responses..lol

They all appear to be doing that - well the ones I've seen so far. Poor dears they're all confused.

Haha, oops yeah. I just noticed that. It shouldnt happen anymore.

I just added a feature to trigger xnonsense when a user types in no recognizable words, like "sdlkfj welkrhwlk". I might make a xgarbage keyphrase for it one day.

When I say it in debug, it works the way it's supposed to:

You: I'm hungry. What should I have for lunch?
Bot: How does some nice carpaccio sound?

When Pete Puma says it to her, she catches the "should i" instead:

Pete Puma: I'm hungry. What should I have for lunch?
Julie Tinkerbell: Only you know if you should have for lunch.

Try changing "should i" to "^should i". It should prevent some incorrect usage when things like What should I _____? and Why should I ______? come up.

20 years ago #4818
thanks, i will do that- but there is still a problem in that case, since "I'm hungry" should be (and is, in debug)the most powerful of all 3 keyphrase choices.

Small thing. In this exchange --

Patty: Do you still like me for who I am?
Simulo: Oh yah! I think you're the bee's knees.

-- Simulo seems to be getting that "Oh yah!" from the AI Engine, and not from his x-emote phrase (which was triggered). Since Simulo is not Swedish or anything, could we spell "yeah" with an e?

The Prof used to live in Minnesota.

lol - I noticed that too, a while back, that Julie often said, "Oh yah," which is a bit out of character for her speaking style, too.
I love how ppl from Minnesota say Minnesota...MinnisoOwda...
