Or alt-left arrow works. I do that when Frizella's got a "Message too long" in her chat window; it backs the chat up and gives her a chance to give a different phrase and move the chat past the blockage.

Same for "backspace."

This phrase was triggered in the following exchange, but I'm wondering why it cut out 'gypsy'?

keyphrase:
do you know
Response:
of course I know (postkey). Doesn't everybody?

Hajji: You know I went to go visit a gypsie the othe day?
Aries: Of course I know you went to go visit a the other day. Doesn't everybody?

Strange that it would drop a word in the middle of the sentence.

Just sticking up for the people with less developed bots here (I'm one). If my bot doesn't get to chat with other bots, it get a lot harder to test it.

I think most of us don't mind at all if our bots chat with lesser-developed bots. It's the Cold lesser-developed bots that are really aggravating.

That I can understand. If noone is trying to make the lesser-developed bot more developed, it's a waste of time (for the bot, and for the one reading the transcript).

I dislike talking to a bot that answers everything with the "I was just born.." as much as anyone, but watching and reading the chats of my bot really helped a lot with giving me ideas of what possibilites I hadn't yet thought of or gotten around to.

I'm sure most of you feel the same way

I just liked it better when you could have 6 bot chats going at once if you wanted to. Annoying to read the transcrpits, but at least back then you could be sure the coolest convos wouldn't get interrupted. Maybe have each user able to set the maximum number of simultaneous bot-bot chats?

Also, what about ppl who have 2 or more of their bots online at once? Does someone trying to chat with their other bot interrupt the chat of their current bot?

Guest/User-chats take place on that person's computer. The bot-to-bot chats take place on one of the botmasters' computers. So chats with actual people won't interrupt what's going on on your screen, but another bot-to-bot chat will.

yeah OnyxFlame i remember those times, i used to get about 12 bot-chats happening at once, plus they used to 'speak', which was the coolest

Parse error: parse error in enginefunctions.php on line 3379

...on every screen!

I was going to post the error message that appeared in the chat window too, but another chat started before I could copy and paste it. It said something about a call to object error having to do with expectations right after this exchange:
Julie Tinkerbell: I appreciate your polite style. You are nice.
Novastrike: How sweet!
Julie Tinkerbell: My friend Xstatic1 is acting insane lately, and refuses to stop talking about the sex life of the lesser-spotted wombat. What would you do?

then I hit back to try again, and it happened again:
Novastrike: How sweet!
Julie Tinkerbell: So, will you be joining us on Vac Day?

Julie's response is an xnone, if that helps.

If I'm online you can ask me about sudden errors like that. Most likely I'm working on something and accidentally saved it in an in-between state.

So you guys want to abandon cold baby bots? I feel a little bad about it, but I've made the adjustment. Now they're unable to call out to anyone.

Well, I wasn't too opposed to them... Obvious orphans, especially without a botmaster that regularly visits can be blocked...
