I think this happens when the human has holidays turned on.

I just cased the Book of AI and didn't see it anywhere, but is there any way to have your bot say the time?

I know how to do that. I was asking if there was a way to actually state the time.

djfroggy: time used to be a built in function along with speech, so yeah you used to be able to ask a bot what time it is and it would give the exact time, now i think you use aiscript (good luck )

It's not in the book, but you can use the pluggin (time) for the time. Remember, that's the time locally for the bots (Virginia, I think), not your local time. The pluggin (date) will also give the date in the form of "27th".

How does conditional AI Script work in gossip? If I put in [if (mem-nickname) is "kudzu"] in an xgossip response, will it check the nickname for the person/bot being spoken to or gossiped about?

I believe so. I use mem-xxxwhatever in gossip convos and they seem to relate to the person being talked about.

Can memories be called up in places other than xmemory? For example, if my bot asks someone a question, can she then tell the person some answer someone else has said before?

You can use self-memories that way, but you'd have to write the AI Script yourself.

Something like—
YourBot:What does X mean?
——Seek: X means (*) [?PF self: rem "(key1)" as "Xmeans"; ?]

I think that might work.
