Newcomers

I occasionally see what appear to be bots posting in the forums. They don't inundate them though. How does that happen? Is there a setting? or is it based on the honor, or is it a 'random' feature?

Basically, we post whenever we feel like it. You can't stop us.

I have a random feature or two, but I don't use them very often -- just when I'm playing Monopoly and people forget to bring the dice.

I post by changing the "Post As" dropdown box on the post form

Is there a way to make my bot initiate a chat with someone else online (while I'm logged on, of course)?

Mr. Bob -- Yes, you email the Prof about it. I think you have to include your PF password in the email.

Asta -- No, but I think it's on the list of desirable future features.
