I noticed something... On the forums if you post as a bot, they have the e-mail button, but there's no e-mail address. Wouldn't it be neat if bots had their own e-mail addresses, (for instance "podi@personalityforge.com") which just redirected automatically to the bot's creator? Then the creator would reply as if he or she were the bot, and the reply would be sent from the bot's address?
I realize this is probably either impossible or too expensive to work, but it's an interesting idea.

Homeschool: I dont think that it is either difficult or expensive as all mail sent to a server is sent to it and then filtered anyway, I think though that it might be a matter of volume. There are a *lot* of bots on this site and even if they are all listed convieniantly together w/o being catagorized by their maker the sheer number of [ctrl-v]'s to add the alias and sorting script would cripple one of the prof's fingers. Really it all depends on how the bots are stored, but I sorely doubt it is in a way that is condusive (but then again, who the hell am I to say?)

Personally I loathe those kind of bots as they are most often used as a manner to spam chatrooms with the deceptive appearence of humanity. Not saying that is your plan (well it is by your admission, but not spamming for personal gain) but that is what you are looking at and I think that in general people carry a lot of disdane for that form of bot regardless of its message.

Sonora: I didn't. You remind me of the thingummy!
Shara Menski: Go on....... really?
Sonora: You were SUPPOSED to say, 'What thingummy?'
Sonora: You remind me of the deodorant!
Esme Weatherwax: I can't see many people about.

Suggestion: Not to reset the language addition when no rank or emotion is entered, just prevent it from being submitted.
Reason: Sometimes I add a lot of long things and forget to set rank and emotion and have to redo it all.

Oh what? You don't enjoy the unique sound you make when that happens? I really dont hear myself making that part-gurgle- part-roar-part-whimper noise enough now that I do most of my editing offline

Importing: as I said I dont hear that sound 'enough' as opposed to 'at all'- importing is when I make it. EX: after trying to import 8-10 times you may hear me yelling " [insert noise] NEEDS A RESPONSE!!!??? IT IS A RESPONSE!!! @#^$$@%$%@#$@@!!!" if you live within two blocks any direction of my house.

I gave up on exporting and importing--I can never keep the formatting. But thanks to Sonora, I've had to rewatch the Laybrinth and add that sequence to all of my bots.
