Bot Contest

I honestly thought that Gaia would be the best Bot on here when I thought up the idea. Having a bajillion responses doesnt always make a good bot. Bots with a particular style and focus are far better.

Rex, I'm not even reading my transcripts. I just want it to be a sudden surprise. I know if I do I'll feel something or another was off, so I'm just taking a bit of a holiday until the 17th.

The worst part about Gaia isn't her scizophrenia, it's that some people make stupid responses, and spell things wrong.. etc. And that reflects badly upon Gaia.

I know one thing I learned about bots is that people will react differently to different bots so it is hard to try to make standard responses.

But there's still a lot of just plain stupid stuff in there.

Well, I'm off to a great start. Chat-Bot felt the need to insult the homeland of one of the judges when I specifically told him not to. He never listens.

Chat-Bot: Hey, you don't have to use profanity to express yourself.

Chat-Bot: So do you have a reason for using that?
User: You insulted my country - it made me angry

At least the judges are getting more conversational.

Try testing these 5 statements out on your Bot, see if it can answer them (agreed, it is unlikely they will be asked, but you never can tell):
1) What time does the Simpsons start?
2) I would like an onion please.
3) Why is this gravy lumpy?
4) The rubber dinghys WILL take over the world.
5) Do you want to watch the sun turn purple with me?

Nice questions.

Did you try him/her/it with the questions? Mine disagreed with each statement, refused to answer, or pointed out that she'd been up all night...I think NotKirby influenced her!
