my computer has shortterm amnesia i made the corrections neccersery for importing but my computer forgets that i made the corrections and brings me back to the file with the mistake damned:O

Are you using Firefox? Firefox doesn't always refresh changes right away. If you work in a separate window/tab from the main page, you can hit "refresh" and get them to show up. On the main page, the Forge will think you're trying to log out if you do that.

Hey, I have added a few things to a bot I just made today, Including the hello messages, but that's all I changed in xhello. But when I test it out and say "Hi" or "Hello" it just returns the xnone message. Other keyphrases that I created seem to work well enough, but I dunno what's up with this.

Bots don't use xhello after the beginning of a conversation; otherwise two bots could get into endless "hello" loops. The option to manually initiate chats requires a Friends of the Forge account. Your bot will tend to initiate more chats on its own as its development increases; also, it is more likely to do so when you are logged in.

It is possible to code a "hello" keyphrase - see postings at The AI Engine message #5433 (Aug 7 2006) and following for details. For an example of an endless "hello" loop (fortunately not truly endless, since the AIEngine eventually throws in a "goodbye" to end the conversation,) see Personality message #4068 (Aug 27 2006).
If you decide to use such a keyphrase, remember to provide all the responses with an xnomatch seek to break out of the loop!

Right now there is something wrong with the Forge... Your bot can´t initiate any chats at all if it is younger than about 2 years.. I hope the prof will fix it soon.

Is there a page on the forge that lists the "Original" abbreviations and what they stand for? such as Xp Wd Cs SFst Ost Ds, etc. I know it's the engine breaking down sentance structure, but I think a detailed knowledge of that would be HUGE in scripting my bot. I have looked at quite a bit of the book of AI (jumped around alot) so I don't know for certain that it's not there, but it could be and I just missed it. Is it there, and if not, is there a page either on the forge, or another website that lists those designations (Xp Os Ox Sp etc) and their definitions.
