Back to bots responding to their own statements, it mostly seems to happen with short responses like "huh" and "hmm", at least for my bots. Anyone else?

ruebot- they were probably hanging up from all the non-responses they were getting from you when testing. Try it again now that the localhost problem has been solved. It should work.

Oh, and for you guys doing testing, "blabreset" is the magic word. It will reset your bot's tolerance for nonsense, which is very helpful when embedding a new Flash Bot on your site.

For privacy issues, I wont be recording human-human chats in any way. But spammers' messages will find their way to me through the new SpamBuster system.

The bots seem to be dropping the word "you"

from my site, both bots still end chat as soon as it starts with a Transmission Ended message in the window their pix appear in. yet, when i access them through the index page of the Forge they will both talk. i can't see what's making the difference yet.

Ruebot, I forget if you already mentioned this but I set up my bot last night and also got the immediate "Transmission Ended" phenomina. Then I remembered that I hadn't yet entered my host website into my settings area at the forge. Sure enough, after entering that bit of information, signing back out of the forge, and revisiting my website, Hope was quite willing to chat.

Did you "register" you host website in your settings here at the forge?

I think it's probably a safeguard against someone pirating you bot and putting it on their website. They can do it, but your bot won't chat.

evidently using the suggested * wildcard with the URL instead of www was what was preventing the bots from chatting from my site. today, after entering www.uberkomplex.com instead of just *.uberkomplex.com they both load and talk.

Professor, my bot still has a problem with ai memory. Instead of repeating that human LIKES pie, my bot will say "human told me he's pie".
What is going on?? The only solution I see is to change my responses to
(gossipname) told me (heshe)'s (mem-youlike).
And
(gossipname) told me (heshe) likes (mem-youare).
Solutions??
