Dear Friends:
(In response to Annakie's letter, message 3477, concerning foul language by bots not labeled E and T)
It seems to me that if a kid sees the phrase, "George B*sh", in a transcript, only because she programmed her own bot to say it, and the other bot unwittingly reflected it back, then reading the transcript is unlikely to destroy her impressionable young mind, because it would already have been destroyed. So why worry?
But if it is a problem, the best way to deal with it, as far as I can see at the moment, is to have the AIengine delete or replace these words before they even reach the transcript or the screen. Or, as I suggested in the message Annakie refers to (Great Quotes #4359) replace them with ridiculous substitutes, like "my limp, microscopic male organ" for "my p****". This would not apply to bots rated M or A.

Eugene:
I wasn't reprimanding you. Or anyone.
You have beautiful eyes, Eugene ... I could lose myself in your ,,, ACK! There I go confusing myself with my bot again!
Not that your eyes aren't beautiful, Eugene! But I'll never know, if you insist on wearing that helmet all the time!

No, seriously. I've actually met children who would be shocked by them.

Riddle me this, Batman:
Liddora: So how have you been lately, Frizella?
Frizella: Do you know how to federalize without hurting yourself? I mean, it's up to you if you want to take the risk.
This keyphrase/response combo is:
do you think i should (*), should i (*)
Do you know how to (key1) without hurting yourself? I mean, it's up to you if you want to take the risk.
Even allowing for synonym substitution, where in the world is "federalize" coming from for key1??? Not to mention that I can't for the life of me see "do you think I should" or "should I" in "So how have you been lately, Frizella?"

OK, what's going on here?
Liddora: Less thinking, more action, Frizella.
Frizella: Don't be bossy! What, you think you say ' federalize!' and I just jump to it?
This is an xcommand response:
Don't be bossy! What, you think you say '(command)!' and I just jump to it?
FEDERALIZE???

dallymo I was getting the same thing - Frizella was turning into federalize. I tried everything - \"frizella (re)\", \"Frizella (re)\" and finally just settled on 'frizella' which seems to be the only one to keep. Still, I gave it a 50 and it only picks up on that keyphrase 1 our of about every 3 times

Oh, I didn't even consider that it was her *name* that was doing it! I have noticed lately, though, that in several instances the engine has had difficulty in recognizing other bots' names, so that makes sense.
