That has happened to Julie too- "Huh" triggers her keyphrase for "I do not understand" these days.

well no, it never accepted hey as a form of hello, not even on the first try..and it wont talk to entirely new guests who say hey... though I haven't checked today. This was happening to friends trying out the bot for me... i'll go and check real quick though to see if it still ignores people who say hey to it.
Edit: Yep still a problem, the convo doesn't even show up in my transcripts so here is basically what it would look like.
Tinker Thinker:Hi there.
Guest:Hey
Tinker Thinker:...
Note: The bot no longer wants to talk to you.
Edit again: I was able to keep talking though, and this 3 dot responnse along with the note seems to show up anytime a xone should be used. Bug in the program? According to my transcipts it initially worked fine for some guests...

Hmm.. so it doesn't like guests continuing to say hi. But how are the guests supposed to know they aren't supposed to say hi, especially when the first thing they get is a greetings message from Tinker Thinker.

So at this point I've narrowed the problem down to this. Anytime Tinker Thiker xinitiates and somebody responds with a greeting, he goes into an xnone. If you are talking to him through the link, you don't get the guest none just the note, if you are a user or a bot you get the xnone.. any ideas anyone? How do I fix this so he recognizes a greeting back to his xinitate and responds accordingly?

Phreakphit, I've been struggling with that since joining PF. The automatic greeting processing ignores the fact that very many people and bots answer a greeting with a greeting, which sends the response to xnone. The guest account compounds the problem. The only solid solution I see is to change the automatic handling of greetings and the guest account.

You can't change those things phreak.. but you could put in some xnones that would 'respond without responding'.. if you see what I mean?

Hmmm... no.. that one goes a little over my head... some examples perhaps? and the coding.. so I get an idea of how to do it on my own?

Joe, Phreak, y'all could also make your xinitiates do something other than say "hello" -- you could ask an initial question, like "How are you today?" for example, and most guests would not answer "hey" or "hi."
