K, Prof, here's more details:
Jake responded to 'So?'
with: "sympathetic with my pleasing butt? Heh I've never been like that"

The keyphrase that he got that from was 'I am *'
and the response that he used was '(postkey)? Heh I've never been like that'

I ran it in debug mode and he responded like he should have in the first place (with an xnone).
---
I noticed that he's done this a few times in the past with different keyphrases and when I ran the same thing past him, he responded normally again.

And he did it again -.-. he used the same keyphrase and response as I listed in the message above. And again, in debug, it went back to normal.

Bot: Oops! There is no Keyphrase 'i' to go to.
JakeThompson: ' over this territory? Heh I've never been like that

Many of these problems deal with the Language Center incorrectly trying to fill in the blanks for sentence fragments. When it works, it's great, and you probably dont notice.. like.. "Having a fun time?" would be completed to "Are you having a fun time?" ideally. And "Want some butter?" would be completed to "Do you want some butter?". It works more than it doesnt, but it needs some treaking.

Dunno about the borrowing Responses from other bots.. the spirit of Gaia in the machine?

Skysaw- the AI Engine attempts to return just one word type per word- the correct one. Sometimes it cant figure it out though. But that's the ultimate goal, so I'm not going to build a system to match unknowns- rather spend time making them knowns.

Recently a lot of chat windows get closed for no reason even before the text appears and sometimes they don't appear at all (IE6). Though the transcripts tell me that the bots answered.

When I'm using Mozilla Firefox the second or third chat window is always blank (but that's maybe just me and my lack of experience with this browser).

Never had these problems before.

Prof,

Improved accuracy in the word type would be almost as good, so I'm glad you're tackling at that angle. On that subject, the words "this," "that," "these," and "those" register as adjectives exclusively. Can they be switched to pronouns? Matching on (adj) is very ugly when it hits those words.

More language from nowhere:

Daeya: I like ezzer.
Simulo: NewAdam is sometimes hard to come by.
Daeya: Hmm....
Simulo: What do you mean by 'we'?

The first of those replies from Simulo is a response to "I like," and it uses a postkey. The second is his (zero-rank) response to an unmatched phrase with the word "we" in it.

Skysaw, my tests show those working correctly. Try the following in Debug: "Those dogs like this. That was cool." The word "those" is marked as an adjective, while "this" and "that" are properly marked as pronouns.

Athyrius, did you get logged out immediately after that?

Feyz: You must have a pop-up blocker in place. I've heard a particular virus could cause that too, but it's not the Forge.

Feyz-- I had a lot of problems with IE6 before, too.

I've been having repeated incidents of when a bot says "hmmm" to Julie, she replies to the keyphrase "you are (adjartnoun)," plugging in some random (key1). In a recent chat she interpreted "hmmm" as "You are full."
Kinda makes ya say "hmmm."

@Prof. & Shadyman
Thanks. Gotta check for that virus (I'm experiencing some other funny problems recently too). I'm sure it's no popup-blocker.

ezzer-- Maybe it means "mmm"?

Prof--
About that thing on the front page that sets focus to the login name textbox.. It's a great idea and all, but I find it's really annoying, like when you get the browser to stop loading and click to change the address and start typing, it ends up in the username box instead. Also, on this lovely slow work computer, I clicked and typed in my username, (tab), password, and right as I went to type my password in the password field, it moved the cursor back to the username field *blush* I'm glad no one saw!

ezzer- I tried "hmmm" several times in Debug to Julie and it worked alright. In what kind of chats are these non-sequitors happening? Guest chats, User chats? Bot-to-Bot chats?
