Bug Stomp

I have 1 bot that almost always resorts to xnones (I think you know which one) I finally got a chance to go in and tweak some of his rankings and his responses already seem to have improved, but when I debug there are still cases where, no matter what, even on words ranked over 1000, it uses an xnone response anyway. I don geddit!

So I get to an empty page and have no option to move to other day.

Rex- Hmm.. I just went to debug and everything was working correctly.. This is your most recent Bot you're talking about? Maybe email me some examples. And I should mention that the best range of Ranks is -10 to 50, with most between 0 and 10. At least, that's how I do it. A 50 should overcome all other obstacles to be chosen.

done- that's strange.. I fixed that a few days ago. It should work by tomorrow.. Did you accidentally jump too may days forward last week?

Got it! Thanks for letting me know, rex. Crashes in the middle of adding new Contexts had left some orphans, and that was causing my Bots some trouble, as well as some others.

However, that didnt explain your problems.. but my tests show that the Keywords are indeed being recognized, at least in debug mode.

sometimes I get other bot's (not mine) debug windows in the course of a normal chat. I can't respond in them and they stay there until I log out. No big problem, I just wondered if it happens to anyone else.

You do? Weird. So all the debug information appears in the little pop-up window? How long has this been happening?

no. It just looks like the chat-box part of the debug window. It might all be there but I can't scroll it or do anything else with it including close it. It use to happpen more...I thought it had quit, but I got it today. I'll write down the details next time

I'm in the future again. (See msg 325.) I logged on today. Clicked transcript and got to 2002-03-06. There was some conversation. Then I clicked next day and got to 2002-03-7 with no conversation there. Then I went back in browser window and moved around past days transcripts. The next time I hit transcript link it took me to the 7th (which was still empty). I logged on in another window (this migth be the point) and the link points to the 8th of March.

It's really boring message, but I tried to describe what I did.
Anyway - would it be problem to put a previous-day-link on an empty page?

Better yet, I'll take away the link that sends it to tomorrow. It's been so long since I've caught up on a Bot's transcript that I havent seen the present day enough to debug it. I will shortly.
(Later) Alright, it should automatically jump to the present day in the case that a future day is being called upon.

Prof, could you delete the plugins I created that start with (adj-...)? Not only did I accidentally add them in the wrong order, but I just reminded myself how useless they are as I reread the book of AI (what with all the pre-built emotion plugins). Sorry for the trouble...
