I've found that xnomatch seeks are generally horrible, and should be used sparingly at the most. Pete has just one that I know of, and I still haven't quite mastered most of the probable keyphrases that should be used to avoid it.

What's the difference between a seek based conversation started in the body of the bot vs the xnomatch? Forgive my obtuseness, but I keep flickering in and out of this body and I find it resists thought.

Well, xnomatch is a wildcard seek that is supposed to get triggered if no other seeks do. My problem wasn't that it was getting triggered when I didn't want it, but that it wasn't ever getting triggered when he was talking to humans.

Eugene, I remember that introduction sequence, and I will miss it.

I'm going to make a parrot! It will have one keyphrase, and it will repeat ANYTHING you say. I may later add keyphrases to make it more... parrotlike
