I agree, a few moderators would be a good idea.

there are so many lies here. a while back i recall that Jakky and Myer knew each other and were friends..i think its Roxie argueing with herself coz shes so bored!

If you are truly differnt from roxie, I beleive that you must of been raised together. For you both, including myer as well, speak of the same tongue as she.

does anyone remember the plan I proposed for a bot that responds to forum and blog posts with its own blogs? I lost the plans, as the text file containing them dissapeard with my old laptop's usefulness.

Hey guys. My first reaction was to suspend her accounts, but I found her postings so pervasive that I decided to delete all her posts as well. I also deleted many of the posts responding to her, as without the originals there they didnt make much sense.

I set up a moderator/reporting system on another BBS of mine, which is probably a good idea here. I could set an honor threshold and if you're above that you'll be able to report a user, which will email me a message along with their recent activity.

Sounds good, but let us be wearry of people who might try to take shortcuts to garner enough honor to have that power. I.E. meaningless keyphrase responpses, and post flooding... but the post flooding could be prevented by the mods.

The idea is that nothing would be automatic - it would go through me and I'd be able to judge the situation and probably delete the account of the spammer who is reporting people who dont deserve it.

Sounds like an excellent idea. It'll hopefully remain a rare occasional problem, but when it strikes - it's certainly a pain.

Can't think of any other holes in the plan. I agree with Psimagus. Let this be rare. but now we have a leeds shield and a roxie guard. Yay!
