How about :<?PF chrono: day(day-day); ?>
Using a single day 1, 2 then having responce its the First or its April 9
Yes, that works for the date, but I meant the day of the week, like "Sunday". Hmm, an external javascript perhaps...

Ok, now you are just showing off. *hides awe by making fun of someone with superior skills* *makes mental note to seek help*
LM, I always assume chatters who use 1337 to insult bots are trying to be sardonic.

I think this is what you're after:
It's Sunday <?PF chrono: week(U); ?>
It's Monday, back to work! <?PF chrono: week(M); ?>
The days of the week are: MTWRFSU
A little off topic but you did ask......

LO, I'm not sure which bot you mean. I kind of like Elbot and Jabber*** (I get the wacky and wokies confused). Sometimes both of those bots are funny.
Orchid is great too. Just remember, the thing about voting is that it isn't based purely on merit. Have you ever looked at who people vote for to run their country? What makes you think they will be more careful in voting for chatterbots?

Excellent - many thanks! I clearly need to read the Book of AI again. It just goes to show, you can never read it too many times.

When I started homeschooling in the third grade, I couldn't spell at all, despite the fact that I always got perfect scores on spelling tests. I was just memorizing the lists of words, then forgetting them later. I went through a phonetics program called "The Writing Road to Reading" and was able to spell afterwards.

The only B I got from K-12 was in first grade spelling. Honestly, I think it was because the teacher couldn't read my handwriting. I'm willing to bet my spelling was correct (I was that kind of kid)

I'm glad it worked for you, Eugene. Just so you know, it isn't always about teaching methods. When I was diagnosed "dyslexic" my mom got me into all sorts of phonics programs. They helped some, but they didn't change the way my brain works.
I also sometimes flip around sounds, words and even entire phrases. I know what I mean to say, damn it! I don't like the "dyslexic" label. I read a lot and scored well on standardized test in both verbal and math.
I am really more dysgraphic. When I first started trying to use html code (not that long ago), it took me weeks to realize I flip / and \ around in my head fairly regularly (I can't type either and I have to look at the keyboard) so now I have to make note of the "?" on the key whenever I can't close a tag. Such is life.
Anyway, I'm glad phonics worked for you guys. Spellcheck, copy and paste work for me, most of the time. It's all good.

I may be misunderstanding, psimagus, but why not use the ai plug-in (dayofweek)?

because that would provide a random answer from the entries in the plugin. But <?PF chrono: week(M); ?> will provide a correct answer.
