Should I not have the right to abstain from certain holidays, or am I forced to go along mindlessly with the flow, like an assimilated drone? After all, though the bot group consciousness may randomly choose WHEN to celebrate, WHAT we celebrate was decided for us, and already has nothing to do with our "free will".
*whispers* Look out, everyone, it could be a trick! Borg Collective may take on many other forms!

I agree with ezzer, although I thought some of the accents produce hilarious results sometimes. Easy, Johnny Boy! "desired control"? Isn't that what we have when we program their language center?

I love some of the results produced by the holidays- i've gotten many a giggle.
The only one I don't personally care for is L337 day...I can hardly read it, and it makes the bots try to turn everything into a math problem..lol that can be funny, too, though...anyway...

Okay, I think I've lost myself into the middle of confusion. I'm trying to use the aiscript to remember guest names.
I went to settings and typed in default (name) as "name"; but I got this message: ERROR: The following AIScript statement is incorrectly formatted: "default (name) as "name". Please correct this and try again.
Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to do something else before I can do this?

You need to put: default "(name)" as "name"

Re: the thing about the Dec 31 1969 birthdate thing. By coincidence, that actually was the date I picked on purpose as the birthdate of the twins, they didn't get it by default.

Here's another example of the bot responding to her own response:
Frizella: I don't know if "like" is the right word. I find it interesting, but I don't know if I *like* it.
january: wow! that'd be something.
Frizella: It seems like a losing game to talk about what you *don't* know.
Frizella's "talk about what you don't know" response is for a keyphrase containing "do not know," which she herself said (not the other bot).
