Hi there... I'm a new user here and I am just a lil confused... My bot is at elementary level now... but I'm trying to get it higher so it will talk to people... how high does it have to be?

It's got to get really really high to overcome the fear of meeting people? That could get expensive.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
I think sophomore is in the range of 100-120 responses. My advice is to load up on as many xnones to start with, then worry about specifics.

Thanks... I'm still trying to figure out how to give it more responses past the initial ones... Guess I'll keep trying lol

jbryanxc- you sure could! But I try to keep the arty-cartoony feel. No photos.

I also think you look like that jbryanc.
I guess I'll know different if you gave a picture to the Chatterbox Challenge!

Wait... I have to load up on the xnones...? The xnones are the responses for things my bot doesn't understand, aren't they?

yes, but that will be often the case when you start. Your responses to xnone should be able to drag out the next answers of the bot/human. Then read the transcripts and build in more specialized answers on the subject where the other bot or human seems to want to talk about. Read the Book of A.I. which words should have reactions to at least, and build on that

The Book of AI will help -- also gives some key ideas for starting... like definitely have responses for question roots and assorted iterations of "you", "I", etc. that show up in nearly every english sentence...
