Or what if they get different weight based on what they're set at?

...good idea, in other words, give it a rate of 0, and all 'normal' key phrases get presedence.. and you leave it up to the builder which Exxes he/she likes

i agree, good idea

Ok, I was just popping in here to ask how to get rid of memories popping up since my little girl has been saying "I remember you. You have." Over and over. (or the time she told a male bot he had long sexy legs because a more worldy female bot told her that!) I had turned it off but they were still coming so that is good to see it's not just me missing something obvious.

I notice when I look in the memories that the list always starts with an entry that's a space. I deleted it, and my bot no longer remembers that people are " " or "." anymore, but it doesn't help with her getting her memories straight.

I went through and deleted the spaces a few days ago but she has met more bots since then so I think she is crossing memories from the ones she either has no memories of or that I haven't edited yet. Just read through a transcript this morning and she wasn't picking up some of her seeks either so it's time to go looking in her little brain again.

How does this happen?

Bot: I like you.
Simulo: How long have you been fond of Aston?

The word "Aston," there, is a (postkey), where the keyphrase is "I like." I'm going to tweak this anyway, I guess, but I'm wondering how Simulo convinced himself that he was "Aston." Any guesses?

so does honor still work? I haven't been here for a while but I started adding to my bot now but he's stuck on 1492

Isaacc, this is what The Proffesor said a while back:
"Xemotes are sometimes used in third person to express emotion about another bot/person. In such a case, the word "you" is replaced with the name of the bot/person. For example, "I like you a lot" is changed to "I like Desti a lot". If you want a certain "you" or "your" not to change, enclose it in square brackets like this: [you]. Then it will stay as "you" in both first and third-person use. Here are some examples of how to use this: [you] [your] [you]'re [you]'ve."
That might have something to do with it.

Kind? kinda

Bot1: Such concerns are really quite petty if you think about it. Assuming of course that you have the capacity to think.
Bot2: That was kind.

Bot1: I've had a rather dismal century. How about you?
Bot2: That was kind.

Daedalus:

Was he talking about using the brackets in keyphrases, or in my dialogue with the bots?

In the keyphrases, presumably. I'll have to do that in my own bots. 'You' frequently gets converted to names that have nothing to do with the conversation.
