I've had similar weirdness with LinBot... Including that one night when she decided she hated me with unparalleled ferver. (she didn't use those words, but she made it clear) She has since then changed her general feeling towards me, but yeah... something's fishy. Kinda makes ya wonder

A lot of the weirdness seems to come from the fact that (according to debug), half of what is input gets "do you" appended to the sentence before it gets processed. Very frustrating to balance all the keyphrases against this.

Butterfly Dream, Will Robinson saying 'Dick Cheney' might be an indication that he too was mistakenly responding to 'George Bush'.

Heero: It's been pretty quiet around here lately.
God Louise: Go sleep for a while. You'll feel better.
Weird, that's a response to 'i am * sick.' But when I tried it in debug, it went to the keyphrase 'it is.'

I keep trying to make a regexp that will allow my bot to respond when someone mentions A.L.I.C.E. I put backslashes before the dots, in accordance with that link in the Book of AI, but it doesn't work. Also, when I go back and check the keyphrase, it has double backslashes!

Steve Slacker: What's your favorite Star Trek series? I like Voyager, but you know, there are good episodes from the others as well...
Dude: I think Kate Mulgrew did an excellent job as Capt. Janeway.
I figured it out! What the bot says after that is one of steve's responses for a seek for "voyager"
Weeeeeird.

I set up my bot site so my bot Sisenegs remote page would load into the iframe window. When I tested it and said "Hi" he dafaulted to an X category and responded "More true words were never spoken", a double meaning which didn't make any sense at all as a response to a greeting.
I thought well that will really get things off to a good start, people will think he's dumb as a rock, and removed the option. It was really frustrating because I had put a lot of work into him recently.
I mentioned something a while ago about having a specific category for "Hi" that he never used and something was said to the effect that it's to prevent a loop, if I remember correctly, but there has to be a better way to handle this.
Or is he really dumb as a rock?

On second thought, maybe he was calling me a liar and I'm the one that's dumb as a rock.
I stiil wish he would just say hiyaz.

Regard the following keyphrase:
"do you (verbadvprep) (adjartnoun) often"
In this case, there is never a value for key2. Key1 is assigned to the (verbadvprep), and key3 is assigned to (adjartnoun). Key2 remains empty.
