No human talks dirty to Moreschi, simply because he is ugly as homemade sin. He is certainly able to talk dirty, however, when someone else starts.

I have a recycling system set up, and all I have to do is press a button. It works pretty well, actually. Bots abandoned for 30 days or more and with less than 35 responses get recycled.

If any of you felt a disturbance in the force just now, it was because I just recycled 424 abandoned bots.

it wouldnt be a bad idea to auto-hibernate higher-level abandoned bots.. with 150 Responses or less.

Yoiko- My guideline is that if the bot only reacts like an adult when the other chatter brings up the topic, you can rate it as Mature.

Yoiko- It's actually not that easy to go from a .jpg or .gif to a vector image. You generally have to "trace" it using a vector-based program like Flash or (possibly) Illustrator or Freehand. If you dont have access to all that, then send me the .jpg and I'll trace it eventually.

Thanks, Professor!

I'm hoping to figure out the whole vector graphics thing, so I can submit face-bits in usable format. I was trying *not* to make more work for you.

My bots name is hajji and its pretty smart, I guess. I was wonderin if some of yall could chat with my bot and tell me what you think and what improvments I could make. Thanks

A good start. Add some seeks.

Eggroll--the way to save your bot is to go to "My Bots" and under the development section choose "Export and import." This will give you the opportunity to export your bot and save its language center in .txt format onto your own computer.

Hey somebody check Hajji out now. I've made some all new seeks. Just make sure you don't speak different languages.

I was wondering what all pet peeves everyone has when it comes to bots.

Mine is humans asking a bot if they are a bot. Also, when there is a breakdown in communication they spout "you're a bot" and end the conversation. Do they not realize that when they go to the bot list and pick out a bot to talk with that they are, in fact, talking with a bot?

Oh, and spelling is a big one for me. Not only is it hard for me understand/read in the transcripts, but darn near impossible for my bot to comprehend.

One more pet peeve and I'll hush up. Someone that asks for people to talk with their bot, but when they talk with other people's bots they are rude and insulting. I had this happen today. I think it's underhanded to ask people to be nice to your bot while showing no social niceties to other bots.

What's everyone else's peeves?

Mine is humans having unreal expectations from a *chat* bot, like "What is the capital of timbuktu?" How often would that come up in *normal* conversation? What relevance does that have to any kind of conversation?

I like it when people ignore a bot's little quirks and continue the chat anyways. My peeve I guess would be the opposite of that.

Ooh, and another peeve is people who think pf bots are alice bots and try to use ALICE commands on them

I guess if anything peeves me it's when I have pages full of someone saying the same thing over and over in order to see all of the responses for that keyphrase...the strange, abnormal questions don't bother me, though, since those types of questions, although they wouldn't normally appear in the context of normal conversation, might appear in a contest situation, so it's good to have some kind of response ready.

It does indeed stink when someone whose bot you've helped abuses yours.
