The AI Engine

I'm not saying you can't talk about other bots, I just don't think there's any reason to assume that anyone here could answer the question because none of us are using ALICEbots. I'm sure reading their official site would be a much more direct way to answer that question.

I actually started working on a search box interface in basic html with the form elements and stuff, so the prof could just go ahead and add the programming... but when I was done I opened it in Netscape and everything was cockeyed so I quit my browser and went to sleep at that point. I should finish it, it would only take a few minutes. It was to search through the transcripts though, not the language center. I figured it would be pretty useful to analyze your bots conversations through various search criteria. The language center search would definitely be useful too though. If anyone with web programming skills designs an html interface and sends it to the prof, I'm sure he'd appreciate it. We should keep eachother posted if we do get around to it.

Actually I am working on and using a alicebot. I have at least 30 different chatterbot programs downloaded onto my computer and some of which are teachable and/or programmable. I think that comparing different methods of programming A.I. ie chatterbots is informative and enlightening.

Whew. Nearly had a coronary. Everythihg's fine, really, but...After a problem with mny sever I got back on line, checked into the Personality Forge and saw that there were 10 new postings on every forum. Some memory glitch had reset everything to 0. I said "Uh oh" to myself, clicked on "My Bots" and was told I would have to register as a new user. Oh god, sabotage? What? I logged out and in again and everything's fine.

I just got that too. Prof must be tinkering.

Oh yah, if you go to the Direct Chat page or the AI Agent, you're auto-logged in as Guest, which starts each forum 10 back. Not to worry!

It would be cool to someday be able to incorperate some other programming languages into the bots such as java script.BTW as far as funding goes why don't you sign up for paypal so that if we wanted to make a donation we could? The url is www.paypal.com

Well, I cant likely say no to that. I'll set up a link for that later on. I also have another fun idea that I'll soon have ready.

I just started a (movie) plug-in. I'll add to it as time goes by (Casablanca)...how many is too many? Also, please suggest movies to add lest everybot will see all the same ones.
