"1337" is how some on the internet spell "leet," which is supposed to be slang for "elite." I think it probably originated from some Quake player long ago.
If I had a kid, I'd probably wash his mouth out with a cheese grater if I caught him saying that. Not that's it's profane, it just sounds really stupid.

In the description of "when will my bot chat?" it says that bots will only log in when they're developed.
Then why do I get SO many bots trying to chat with me, and then replying "I was just born and cant speak well yet." to half of my prompts? I don't get this.

Development can occur quite quickly, those bots are often orphans, people come here for 2 hours, and leave their poor babies alone...

It would be cool if there were some sort of evolutionary (or gladiatorial) contest that would weed out the orphan / retarded bots ...
But I guess they're part of the charm of the Forge. It's interesting to think of them as undernourished little waifs, wanting to beg for your attention, but unable to string a sentence together.

I think it says somewhere that the Professor won't explain the system for honor. But maybe someone who has a little of it can hazard a guess...

It hasn't been used for a while, not since he switched the engine over from ColdFusion.
It helps to put major work into your bots, log in frequently, and enter bot contests when they come up. But that's easy enough to guess.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "it hasn't been used for a while." Does that mean that no honor will accrue, now? Or do you just mean that the statistic is meaningless?

It's just like she said, it isn't in use. No matter how many times you log on or how developed your bot is, you won't accumulate any honor. That is until The Prof. decides to use it again.
